We would like to record the memories of those who visited the railway in
all its different phases, so that we can understand more of its story.
Maybe you travelled on the railway as a child, maybe
you worked for the BBC, maybe you worked for Imperial Airways (later to
become BOAC) at the administrative headquarters in Clifton or repaired
barrage balloons in the tunnel, or maybe you slept on the refuge ledges.
We have created a questionnaire to help prompt your
memories that you could either send to Maggie Shapland at the University
of Bristol, or we could arrange to see you (contact
Maggie.Shapland@bristol.ac.uk).
